5 Day Falconry Course

This 5 day course can be taken in a block or as a number of individual days spread over a period of time to suit participants.

Falconry is not a pastime that can be learnt in 5 days but we can give you a good grounding which will allow you to obtain your own bird and begin the training process.

The only equipment you will make is that which is essential and may need replaced during the day to day handling of your bird.

What ever course you decide to go on please don't choose one which has you making hoods and gloves it is a waste of time there are much more important things to learn. Learn how to make them later.

Our aim is to have you handle birds as much as possible and find out what pit falls there are, what it is like to handle a bird fresh out of the aviary, and various other practical and theoretical processes in training a bird.

Once completed we don't cast you out on your own, we are always at the end of the telephone and are willing to help in any way we can. You have our support even after you feel confident to go it alone.

		Bird of Prey Experience Day These days are designed for Individuals with an interest in Birds of Prey who want to experience the beauty and grace of these magnificent creatures at close quarters. You will be introduced to our collection of Birds and shown how to handle them safely. Your Falconer will demonstrate how to fly the Birds and then guide you through the process enabling you to fly them yourself. This is a hands on day where you are able to spend your time flying Owls, Hawks and Buzzards in the care of our professional Falconers.
